Eoin Moylan is an Irish photographer born in 1983, currently living and working in Berlin,
Germany. His practices are focused in the communication of images and image making,
creating work that explores the technical and psychological production of photography.
His work focuses on detail, dictating a narrative of individual choices that come together to
argue a reason for the creation of the cognitive and aesthetic whole. The main theme
within his work is‚ decision, specifically in reference to time and space, and the effect
thereof in terms of both past and present experience.
His processes draw from an education in Television & Film, Photography, and
Psychotherapy. He has recently completed a MA in fine art photography from the Institute
of European Design, Madrid.
He has exhibited work in the Royal Hibernian Academy, Dublin and the Library project,
Dublin. He has taken part in the traveling Group exhibition, 5 Plus 5, which took place
between Madrid, and The Library of Birmingham. His first book A Place Without Walls is
part of the collection in the National Library of Ireland. He recently had his first solo
exhibition at Galleri Image, Aarhus, Denmark. This exhibition was supported by The
Danish Arts Foundation.
